Overwhelmed 2 Empowered workshop
Why should we lead with Wellbeing?
It’s a No-brainer (literally)

A Calmer mind will lead to motivation, improved concentration, effective performance, engagement and a healthier and happier life in all areas.
That Stress gremlin is not going away anytime soon....
It’s taking up a bigger part of our every-day lives and becoming a disruptor in the workplace which is filtering into our personal lives. Everything is getting faster and we seem to be doing more with less. Expectations are shifting, social media, office politics and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed as we try and keep up, and when doing this, we miss and ignore the warning signs that our body and brain is telling us which impacts our performance and health.
In the workplace, dealing with Stress is important for an organisation’s ability to manage engagement, performance sickness and absenteeism.
In our personal lives, taking control of Stress will improve our wellbeing, our relationships and give you that lust for life back...
So, let’s hit pause, get real on what Stress is really about, how it messes with our perceptions at work and at home and what sets it off.
We’ll identify why Stress is so prevalent today, and types of Stress, even the good ones.
We’ll spot the sneaky triggers, language and brain led thinking traps.
We'll help you understand why your brain reacts in that way, and how you can re-wire it.
We’ll leverage stress strategies, tools and techniques to help you shift mindset, and respond differently to gain back control.

Session 1: Why are we stressed?
I understand the importance of talking about Stress, the stages of Stress as well as the varied types and the impact they can
have on our wellbeing performance and others.
We'll look at key themes and data shifts impacting organisational and personal health and how our view of Stress has evolved.
Were we ever designed to live like this?

Session 2: What is Stress and how does our Brain feed it?
I understand what Stress can look, feel and sound like, and can it actually be good for me?
Where do I see myself on the Stress ladder and what are the behavioural, emotional and physical symptoms?
I recognise the Neuro-biology and the Cognitive thinking errors feeding my Stress responses which create obstacles to my progress and well-being and hold me back.

Session: Take action to manage the overwhelm
I am now more aware of my own Stress triggers, my thoughts, symptoms and related behaviours.
I understand I can start to take control by leveraging the brain-based/cognitive strategies and my responses in a business context to manage and challenge Stress.
As a Leader, I recognise how I can help my teams to manage overwhelm too.
